What happens when the energy of street dance enters the theatre?
On 16 October 2026, IDL Theater Night brings four distinctive performances to Theater Rotterdam as part of IDL Festival 2026. Each work offers its own movement language, perspective and creative vision, showing the many ways artists can tell stories through the body.
Rooted in Hip Hop and street dance culture, the evening moves between powerful choreography, intuitive movement, expression and introspection, bringing different voices from the scene together on one stage.

A performance exploring movement, identity and the ways we navigate the world around us.
Crime Time — Is It a Crime?
A work that challenges the boundaries between movement, expression and what society considers acceptable.
OSAS Company — Shine
A celebration of individuality, movement and the energy that performers bring to the stage.
Serios — Diep
An introspective work exploring depth, emotion and the physical language of movement.
Together, these four works reveal the diversity within street dance and demonstrate how Hip Hop culture can find new forms of expression within a theatrical setting.
More than a night at the theater
The experience doesn't end when the performances do.
After the show, audiences will have the opportunity to meet the makers and hear more about their work, choreographies and creative processes. It creates a space for conversation between artists and audiences making Theater Night not only something to watch, but something to experience and connect with.
