The Showcase Competition is a new platform within IDL for choreographic talent from the street styles scene, ready to take the step toward the professional theatre field and will be presented during the Theatre Night
Through an open call, makers are invited to submit short choreographic works rooted in street styles and battle culture. From these submissions, a selection of works is chosen to be presented live during Theater Night, in front of an audience and a professional jury.
For participating makers, the Showcase Competition offers more than a stage: it's a chance to translate their practice into a theatrical form, and to take a next step in their artistic development.
The winner is invited to perform during Theater Night at IDL Festival 2027.
